![]() ![]() ![]() The "new generation" notebooks are not ready! I told management to order as many of the prior generation notebooks as we can get. I'm also evaluating a Latitude 5520 and it's broke and went back to Dell for repair. And if I may rant for a second, this is the second failure of the newest generation notebooks from Dell. Management is eager to order a bunch of notebooks ASAP and this is a problem. I'm going to open a support request tomorrow. Letting device manager attempt to update "automatically" says the same. Both Dell Command Update and Support Assist say that all drivers are up-to-date. Switch SATA controller to AHCI, as is also our standard. I've installed a fresh/clean copy of Win, our current standard. It is NOT missing! The device is generating an error:Īn I/O adapter hardware error has occurred. I think it's important to note that the driver is indeed loaded. I've been asked to evaluate and approve a Latitude 5420 also and am seeing the same error message in device manager.
